| LATEST NEWS !!! NOVEMBER 2009 Well - some very sad news to report this month after the Pacer's right hand undercarriage leg collapsed at Willies strip on an otherwise perfect Saturday morning. On further research, it seems that the PA20 undercarriage is a known weak point, and should be strengthened by installing gussetts between each leg member. All very easy to say in hindsight after the damage is done however! Anyway, on a positive note - neither of us were injured, but a fair amount of damage was done to the aircraft, so unfortunately the Chaser will be out of action for some time. The 172 is still available for AvSkills courses, and we are looking at the possibility of leasing a tail dragger aircraft until the Chaser is back in the air. OCTOBER 2009 Check out this month's New Zealand Aviation News magazine for cover shot and AvSkills feature article. SEPTEMBER 2009 We now have available a 2000 model Cessna 172 with 180hp engine. This aircraft is fully IFR equipped and GPS certified, and is the perfect machine for instrument training and IFR endorsments. It is also available for our strip flying and advanced flight training courses. AUGUST 2009 The Pacer is back in the air after a 9 month refit. It now has a fresh 0360 (180hp) engine, new clear perspex seaplane doors, and several other modifications. Its combination of incredible performance, visibility, handling characteristics, and load carrying capacity make this the ultimate bushplane. Our passion is excellence in aviation.
