  Courses - Flying a Stabilized Approach  
   
Aim
To fly at a constant rate of descent and a constant airspeed on final approach until the aircraft is in a position for the landing.   It requires the aircraft to be flown at a specific airspeed, power setting, and configuration for a certain period of time before touchdown.

Topics covered include brief look at accidents caused by un-stabilized approaches, reasons for flying a stabilized approach, key points that will assist flying a stabilized approach, and analysis of stabilized and un-stabilized approaches using animated and video examples.

1/2 hour ground instruction + 1 hour air exercise
